Whitefield is a growing community.
Our shul has served us well but now is the time to make it fit for the 21st century and the new needs of our community.
We have assembled a visionary team of architects, with both international expertise and local knowledge, to take us on this journey over the next few years.
Working through consultation, in harmony with the Whitefield community, we will create a new space for all our needs and a new religious sanctuary that will serve our community for the decades to come.
UPDATE 24/10/2025:
I’m sure you’ve been wondering about progress on the shul refurbishment.
And yes there is progress. But, like decorating, many of the initial phases are the unexciting preparation, which always seems to go on for so long with not much to see.
However, you'll have spotted the scaffolding going up — an exciting visible sign that work is now underway, starting with insulating and re-covering the roof above the main hall. Alongside this we are laying the foundations for our fundraising efforts to come.
In the meantime we continue to gather the necessary expert inputs that will turn the architectural concept into a viable, affordable, vibrant and safe building for years to come.
We look forward to sharing more positive updates with the community as the transformation unfolds.
