One of the greatest privileges of our Shul is sharing in the joyous milestones of our members and their families. Whether celebrating a brit mila (circumcision), bar or bat mitzvah, aufruf, or another special occasion, we are delighted to help make these occasions meaningful, memorable, and rooted in Torah values.

To ensure that simchas celebrated in the Shul, or with the involvement of the Shul or our Rabbi, reflect the Halachic standards and character of our community, we ask that the following principles are observed...

Our Halachic Standards

Where a family wishes to celebrate a simcha in the Shul or with the involvement of the Shul or our Rabbi, the associated celebrations, whether held in the Shul or elsewhere, should also be conducted in accordance with Halachah.

This includes:

Associated celebrations being conducted in a manner consistent with Halachah.
Ensuring that events are Shabbat-appropriate where relevant.
All catered food being under full Beth Din supervision. A range of local supervised caterers is available to suit different budgets and styles of event.
The celebration as a whole reflecting the Torah values that our Shul seeks to uphold.

These standards are not intended as a judgement of anyone's personal choices.
Rather, they reflect the Shul's commitment to preserving the Halachic integrity and character of our community, ensuring that all simchas celebrated in the Shul and with its participation are consistent with the values upon which the Shul is founded.
